Housing cooperatives:

A property manager for housing cooperatives, is responsible for all tasks relating to the management of their own portfolio of housing cooperatives. This means that the manager will assist the boards with the operation of the housing cooperatives, including keeping ongoing contact with the boards of the cooperatives, residents and partners – as well as with janitors, public authorities, insurance companies, banks and others.

The property manager also independently plans, convenes and conducts general meetings and budget meetings. Furthermore, they act as chairman and take the minutes at the meetings.

Other typical tasks performed by a property manager for housing cooperatives:

  • collection of fees and arrears

  • implementation of regulations and collection of additional fees

  • filling out estate agent forms, executing transfers of housing cooperatives and establishing housing cooperative sales agreements

  • accounting, balancing and preparation of quarterly reports/annual reports.

Homeowners' Associations:

A property manager for homeowners’ associations is responsible for all tasks relating to the management of thier own portfolio of HOAs. They have ongoing contact with residents of the HOAs, public authorities, janitors, insurance companies, banks etc., as well as assisting the boards with operation of the HOAs.

The property manager will independently plan, convene and conduct general meetings and board meetings, and will usually also chair and take minutes at these meetings.

Other typical tasks of a property manager for homeowners’ associations:

  • collection of fees and arrears

  • implementation of regulations and collection of additional fees

  • execution of ownership changes, including those concerning the rectification of mortgage by digital registration

  • accounting, balancing and preparation of quarterly reports/annual reports.
